Development of 4-layered face mask as against 2 and 3 layered masks

                                                                    

Departing from the traditional 2 layered and 3 layered face mask, a 4 layered face mask was attempted. The Layers consisted of Non-woven’s in an arrangement of Spunbond –Meltblown-Meltblown-Spunbond; when tested, the product yielded a maximum bacterial filtration efficiency of 98.6%.

Development of 8-layered mopping pad comprising of woven and non-woven materials

The product was conceived to be made up of both Woven as well as non-woven material in a suitable construction as contrasted with the use of only woven fabric at present and was desired to have characteristics such as high absorption, better transportation and high retention of fluid within itself, while retaining odour.   

 The construction details are as under:

  Layers/ply/Meshes of woven and non-woven

 2 ply of non-woven and 6 ply of gauze

 4 ply of non-woven and 4 ply of gauze

 6 ply of non-woven and 2 ply of gauze

GSM of woven: 20 to 25

GSM of non-woven: 30 to 40

Development of Arm sling with 3D spacer fabric

The arm sling requires soft feeling. This is achieved by polyurethane foam or neoprene synthetic foam. They lose their softness over a period of time. Again the resilience becomes poor in the course.

To avoid these 3 D fabric is used as the core material. This gives comfort cushioning, shock absorbency and excellent recovery

Development of face mask with Eye-Guard

Visors protect eyes from multiple hazards. These include the glare of light, eye gouging or other injuries that can occur, either intentionally or unintentionally, by contact through an open face mask.   Visor allows the wearer a clear line of vision and aids in the protection against potential fluid strike and transference of microbes to the user from the spray or splash of bodily fluids.  Visors are pre-scored to more easily bend around the face to provide complete facial protection.

Development of face Mask with Nylon 6-nanomembrane using Electrospinning Technology

                                                      

The nano membrane was produced using Electro-spinning Technology and the same was used as the centre-core sandwiched between Spunbond-Nonwoven top and bottom layers. The bacterial filtration efficiency of the sandwich was found to be 93.75%.
